Rihanna for River Island Autumn/Winter 2013 Campaign

Last month you’ve seen a sneak peek video of the new Rihanna for River Island Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, now here’s a look at the campaign. The campaign shot by Lachlan Bailey, styled by Mel Ottenberg, and directed by Rihanna herself, stars some of the newest crop of fashion supermodels; Ji Hye Park, Nayasha Kusakina, Milou Van Grossen and Tati Cotliar.

The 80-piece collection incorporates a mix of urban sports luxe with sophisticated chic, with a strong emphasis on clean yet glamorous dressing and a nod to streamlined sportswear. Metallic, tartan, camouflage, floral, stripes, denim leathers and other high shine fabrics like vinyl and wet look are used cohesively. Soft jersey maxi’s, leather bra tops, bomber jackets, camouflage over the knee boots, mesh dresses, beanies, cropped hoodies and underwear with a carefully put together colour palette balance the contrast of hard and soft in the range.

The new collection is available starting September 12th, consisting of the sportier elements of the collection, while the winter collection out in November. Both ranges will be sold in selected River Island stores globally and online and also sold exclusively in the United States and Japan at Opening Ceremony.
