At the end of August, I first introduced BOTB by HELLZ designer, Lanie Barcena, now here’s a look at the Fall 2011 Collection – ‘Movers & Shakers’. The collection is an ode to modern day’s subculture youth, ‘Movers & Shakers’ portrays the fast pace lifestyle of the current zeitgeist. The collection consists of ladylike pieces such as the ‘Epiphany’ dress experiment with sexual themes for a playful approach to a rather classic idea. Bold graphics and loud prints contrast the muted color-pallet, while a tailored exterior of the young professional mask a surprisingly colorful lifestyle. Cute and sexy, me like!
At Project, I stopped by the Joyrich booth to say hello to my friends and also to check out what’s in stores for Spring 2012. As usual their collection is funky, loud and all kinds of fun. The brand reminds me of Jeremy Scott but with a much more affordable price tag and it’s also very popular in Japan. For Spring, Joyrich collaborated with famed Japanese model/DJ/Pop artist Mademoiselle Yulia on a second collection. The Joyrich x Giza collection is super colorful featuring bags, dresses, harem pants, leather moto jackets and tank tops. Pretty cool stuff.
Super proud of my gurl Lanie from Hellz Bellz on her new line, Belle of the Brawl (BOTB), it’s an extension of Hellz. I checked out the line when I was out in Las Vegas for PROJECT and it’s looking good! The line soft launches this Fall with a full launch in Spring 2012, prices range from $28 for tees to $120 for outwear. I can’t wait to show you all the full range.
Ohhh I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the Stussy Women Fall/Holiday 2011 collection, there’s a bunch of things that I’m liking. I want the Denim Sherpa Jacket (pictured), Fleece Moto Jacket, Peekaboo Jumpsuit, Drifter Shredded Sweater, Leatherette Sleeve M65 Blazer, Houlihan M65 Jacket, Cold Shoulder Button Up, Peekaboo Dress, Zip Ponchorella. Yup great collection! And is it me or does the model look like Kate Hudson? More looks after the jump…
I never really paid much attention to the VANS Girls apparel collection, it was always just about the kicks. Now that I’ve seen the Fall 2011 lookbook, I’m convinced I need a few pieces from the collection. This is also perfect for back-to-school looks, easy and casual. More looks after the jump…
On Monday night MadeMe and Stussy celebrated their collaboration at The Crosby Hotel with a screening of their digital project featuring Miss Poly Styrofoam. Last week you’ve seen a sneak peek of the Stussy Womens x MadeMe collaboration called S+M, now here’s the full lookbook featuring model Charlotte Free. The 12-piece capsule collection was inspired by the early punk look of the 80s featuring a leather moto jacket, denim jacket, tees, sweatshirt, a dress and more. To celebrate the Stussy Womens x MadeMe release, the brands will produce special materials and host an invitation-only screening of a digital project hosted by a special guest. Available at stussy.com, Stussy chapter stores and at mademeclothing.com starting today. Cute collection. |
