I just thought about Oscar de la Renta‘s Fall 2012 fashion show since I’ve been looking for something to wear to a black tie gala on Thursday. I was excited to see the runway show for the first time this past February, the collection was fun and young. The pastel blues and pinks on the gowns reminded me of cotton candy, so playful and pretty. Hope to have a chance to wear one of his gowns one day! Now back to searching…

Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012 Day 5. Snapped these photos right after the 3.1 Phillip Lim show in the Meatpacking District, the weather was nice and sunny that day. I have a love/hate relationship with cobblestones, they look so good but so hard to walk in with heels on. Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012 Day 4. Didn’t go to a lot of shows that day since it was super windy, I was also feeling a bit sick so kept it pretty chill. I did take a break to stop by NARS‘ private dinner at L’Artusi, it was great to reunite with Heather Park again and the food was yummy! Many thanks to GM Northeast for sponsoring the Chevy Suburban from Day 4-7 of fashion week, definitely helped me a lot! Got me to shows on time and saved my feet! Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012 Day 3. This fashion week I tried to avoid wearing all black like I usually do so to brighten things up I added a splash of cobalt blue! It turned out to be one of my fave outfits, so easy yet so interesting. And I was so happy to have one of my gurls, Tina, to hang out with that day. Attending shows and events with a someone makes a difference! I was quite intrigued by Christian Cota‘s Fall 2012 collection, I loved the print on print looks and the layering of different textures. Really nice use of colors for fall as well. As I mentioned previously, the 5th piece of Cota’s Diet Pepsi-inspired capsule collection was featured at his presentation, it’s the tank top in the picture above. The collection was “inspired by the textiles and handicrafts of his native Mexico,” so beautiful! Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. presentation is always a packed house. For Fall 2012, the collection features lots of funky and quirky pieces, really fun and easy to wear. The punk rock style is definitely true to Gwen’s style. And I loved the models beehives and cute exaggerated eyelashes. |
