Wow, I think the Lanvin for H&M collection is a favorite collaboration amongst celebrities so far, especially in Hong Kong. I’ve previously reported that Hong Kong A-list celebs Sammi Cheng, Maggie Cheung, Michelle Reis and Louis Koo rockin’ the collection, here’s more to add to the list! Besides Leighton Meester I haven’t seen any other celebrity outside of Asia wear the collection, so I was happy to see Natalie Portman wearing the one shoulder dress to IFP’s 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in NYC yesterday. Other Hong Kong A-lists seen in the collection are Carina Lau (劉嘉玲), Gigi Leung (梁詠琪), Sandra Ng (吳君如), Hilary Tsui (徐濠縈), Pace Wu (吳佩慈), Michele Reis (李嘉欣) and Wyman Wong (黃偉文). I wish there were better pics. Who do you think looked the best? More pics after the jump… UPDATE 12.02.2010: Just added more pics of Carina Lau and Angelababy rockin’ Lanvin for H&M!
For those that live in the US and Canada, the Lanvin for H&M collection has pretty much sold out the day of the launch, November 20th. But for others in the rest of the world the collection doesn’t launch until November 23rd, I’m curious to see how the turn out will be. I was told that the Hong Kong Central store has people lining up since last night (US time) already, dedication! I’d like to see pics, I know Asian countries tend to go a bit wild on collaborations ha! If you live in HK, will you be lining up? Got an email earlier this morning with two more A-list Hong Kong celebs rockin’ Lanvin for H&M, it’s fresh to see a guy wearing it this around. One of my fave HK actors and hottie Louis Koo was seen wearing 3 pieces from the collection for a TV interview on Saturday; a cardigan ($69.95), a button down shirt ($49.95) and blazer ($49.95). The other is Miss Hong Kong and actress Michelle Reis wearing the black zebra trench coat ($199) on Friday. More pics after the jump…
WOW! H&M Hong Kong has seriously worked it, so far they’ve got two A-list celebrities rockin’ their Lanvin for H&M collection. First we saw, pop singer/actress Sammi Cheng in several pieces and now here’s the ever timeless actress Maggie Cheung (張曼玉) wearing the one shoulder purple dress ($199) with a pair of the leather gloves ($49.95) to a Hong Kong Audi press conference on Friday. Doesn’t she look amazing? For the full collection, click here.
So excited to see the first (I think) Hong Kong pop star singer Sammi Cheng rockin’ Lanvin for H&M in Singapore on November 5th-7th, she’s one of my faves and she’s looking amazing! She posted several images on her Weibo (Chinese Twitter), including one from a performance in the one shoulder yellow dress. I’ve also seen other Korean celebs wearing the pieces and also Leighton Meester wearing the leopard pumps but seems like Sammi have gotten quite a few pieces to show off. She’s got great style, love her! You can check out the full collection here. UPDATE 11.15.2010: Check out Maggie Cheung Rockin’ Lanvin for H&M! More pics after the jump…
I seriously wished Gareth Pugh had his store opening party while I was still in Hong Kong, it would of been awesome to attend and check out his first store. According to WWD, the Hong Kong store is located on Ice House Street in the Central area, neighbors with other avant-garde peers like Commes des Garçons, Ann Demeulemeester and Martin Margiela. Pugh opened his first store in HK because he was approached by Hong Kong-based retailer I.T. Group last year and will now be selling exclusively through I.T. Group and will no longer be available at other retailers in Hong Kong. I.T. Group is huge, they seriously fund (or own?) a lot of big branded stores in HK and their stores are everywhere in HK. The store is 658-square-foot and “masked in British-imported jet black rubber paint while glossy black tiles line the floor and walls to create a grid-line effect. The clothing racks are set into the wall, with a matte rubber inset that juxtaposes against the shiny surface of the tiles.” I can’t wait to visit on my next trip to HK!
Last month I posted a sneak peek of the H&M ‘By Night’ capsule dress collection which is a collection of elegant tailored pieces with a nod to the early eighties. Looks like Hong Kong actress/singer Karen Mok got first dibs to wear the studded tank top from the collection at her mini concert yesterday. The 20-piece collection is slated to release at H&M stores worldwide in September. Can’t wait to see the full collection, stay tuned for more… > H&M ‘By Night’ Capsule Dress Collection
This is the last of my Hong Kong photo diary, hope you guys enjoyed it all! Since I started my first post with the red couch, I thought it would be fun to end it with the same one. I had an amazing time in Hong Kong, so much that I almost didn’t want to come back. Although HK was super hot and humid during the time I visited and it rained a lot but that didn’t change a thing, I just love HK so much. I never realized how popular World Cup was until last month, may be because it’s not such a big thing in the states. One of the unexpected events I’ve experienced in HK was World Cup. Everybody’s day revolved around World Cup, it was that serious lols. Malls and local joints that has cable TV were full of people sitting and standing watching the match, whether it was outdoor on indoor it was so packed. I also had the best Coke I’ve ever had in HK, “twist open for a blast of ice…” seriously, the Coke turns to slush! Have you guys tried it before? And I just gotta say HK’s night view is breathtaking, no wonder it’s called 東方之珠 (Pearl of Asia). I miss my friends, food and shopping there already, hopefully I’ll be back soon! > Hong Kong 2010 Photo Diary – Part 1 |
