PROJECT LV: Pendleton Spring 2012

I love Pendleton so I made sure to stop by their booth while I was out in PROJECT Las Vegas back in August. Although I didn’t get to see any collabs they’re working on (well except for one but can’t talk about it) their main collection is just as good. Love the colors, prints, fabric, everything!

PROJECT LV: Timo Weiland x Tsubo Spring 2012

While in Vegas for Project, I stopped by California-based footwear brand, Tsubo‘s booth to check out their collaboration with Timo Weiland. I didn’t know what to expect because I wasn’t too familiar with Tsubo but I was not disappointed, I actually quite like the collection. The 7-piece capsule collection of women’s footwear for Spring 2012 features three styles, including a flatform and two military-inspired demi-wedges. The partnership stemmed from Tsubo’s “the New Creatives” initiative, which sets out to work with emerging design talent to push the boundaries of footwear design, technology and style. The collection also consists of a series of one-of-a-kind styles debuting at the Timo Weiland New York Fashion Week runway show this month.

I was told that the buckle detail on the shoes were inspired by party wristbands, cute right? My friend that wears Tsubo tells me that the shoes are really comfortable and plus the styles are pretty cute. I can’t wait for the release of the collection.

PROJECT LV: Joyrich Spring 2012

At Project, I stopped by the Joyrich booth to say hello to my friends and also to check out what’s in stores for Spring 2012. As usual their collection is funky, loud and all kinds of fun. The brand reminds me of Jeremy Scott but with a much more affordable price tag and it’s also very popular in Japan. For Spring, Joyrich collaborated with famed Japanese model/DJ/Pop artist Mademoiselle Yulia on a second collection. The Joyrich x Giza collection is super colorful featuring bags, dresses, harem pants, leather moto jackets and tank tops. Pretty cool stuff.

Las Vegas August 2011 Photo Diary – Part 1

Here’s a photo diary of the first part of my trip to Las Vegas last month (08.20-22) with PROJECT. I took a late night flight to Vegas, so I basically went straight to bed when I got in. The second day, I had lunch with YM, Marcus and his twin bro Ahmad for lunch then got a sneak peek of PROJECT while they were setting up and then decided to lay out in  the sun at the Mandalay Bay Hotel beach for a couple of hours. Felt lazy so stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and had dinner at Lupo that night, food was pretty good.

The third day was the first day of PROJECT, The Blogger Project section was setup really nicely. Checked a few emails then walked around to take pics of the new collections. After a long day, G-Star‘s PR Ida took a few editors including me to get pampered at the spa for a pedicure. Definitely needed that after hours and hours of walking around. Since I was so beat and had to stay at Mandalay Bay for the Reebok x Swizz Beatz Party, I had dinner with YM and Jasmine at Red, White and Blue again. And I my 61st floor suite was pretty sweet…

Reebok Reethym of Lite Party with Swizz Beatz in Las Vegas

I hate being super behind with travel posts but there’s only so lil time in a day, traveling is tough but ain’t going to complain…I love it! Anyway last Monday night, Reebok Classics and Swizz Beatz threw a for over 500 friends at the Moorea Beach Club at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas as part of the PROJECT trade show. I missed to NYC concert because I was in LA but this made up for it!

Funkmaster Flex was on the 1s and 2s, and dance crew the Beat Freaks opened the event. Swizz rapped his best tracks from his CD “Haute Living” including “International Party,” “Everyday (Coolin’)” and other crowd favorites. Near the end, Swizz brought out surprise guest Chris Brown to do the closer “Dance Like a White Girl.” If you missed my video of their closing performance, peep it here. Fun night, glad I rocked flats or I would of died lol!

PROJECT LV: Native Shoes

I still have lots of pics to edit from PROJECT Las Vegas, please bear with me and if you sent me an email I will get back to you soon! So behind…

I don’t know about you but I’m a fan of Native Shoes, I love the Fitzsimmons style and I finally got a pair in yellow. I’ve been wanting a pair since last October, finally! Native Shoes are super lightweight and comfortable, made of EVA, and they’re also washable. I also like the rain boot style called Jimmy, there’s a special collaboration coming soon which I don’t think I’m suppose to talk about yet but it’s going to be good! Check out the fun colors and all the shoes comes in men’s, women’s and kid’s sizing. You can shop the shoes on Karmaloop.com.
