Nation Ltd. Karen Burnout Tee

T-shirts are one of those pieces that you can never get enough of, besides graphic tees and plain tees, burnout tees seem to be a great choice too. Burnout tees are made of a 50/50 cotton/poly blend, the sheer fabric is made to look like you’ve worn your favorite tee to death, I love the vintage look to it. The Nation Ltd. Karen Burnout Tee as seen on Mary-Kate Olsen, Nicole Richie and Lauren Conrad seems to be a celeb favorite. The deep v and elbow length sleeve burnout tee is cute, throw on a pair of jeans, shorts or skirt and look effortlessly chic.

Victoria Beckham to Launch Ready-To-Wear Collection

victoria-beckham.jpg

Victoria Beckham is working it, she’s already got denim, sunglasses and fragrance lines under her dVb label already but she’s ready to venture out. According to Vogue UK she is launching a ready-to-wear collection. The collection is slated to make its debut at the New York Fashion Week runway this September.

“It will be something completely different from what I’ve ever done. I’m just putting it together at the moment, but they will be very upscale dresses and likely will start at around $1,200 retail,” the former Spice Girl and current Marc Jacobs muse tells World Entertainment News.

The designs are expected to be very much in keeping with her own high-maintenance style, she hinted, adding: “I’m going to be using very expensive fabrics and finishes, lots of embroideries.”

Aren’t we all jealous of Posh especially since she owns David Beckham? I await to see how this rtw collection turns out especially with a starting price of around $1200 retail (isn’t that nuts?).

Janet Jackson to Launch Lingerie Line

Janet Jackson is slated to “launch her own lingerie line before the end of the year”, as if we don’t have enough celebrity lines. I’m not really sure what to expect but hopefully it doesn’t malfunction like her wardrobe malfunction at the Superbowl a few years back…OOPS! via WWD

Murakami x Louis Vuitton “Monogramouflage” Collection

Photography: Louis Vuitton

Last week when the NYT released an image of the Monogramouflage Keepall 55 it caused a stir on the internet. Today, we present to you, officially, the highly anticipated limited edition Louis Vuitton x Murakami “Monogramouflage” Collection. I’ve been holding off on publishing images I saw around the web and eBay to present it in the best way.

The collection was first released on June 1st exclusively at the Brooklyn Museum Murakami Exhibition until June 15th when the first shipment to selected LV stores worldwide consisted of the denim Lys and Jasmine bags. The second shipment scheduled to release on July 1st are the Speedy 35, Keepall 55, Pegase 60, Treillis (denim), Ceinture (belt), iPhone Case and Passport Cover. The camouflage pattern is obtained through different fading into the denim material and the other bags and luggages are coated canvas. There’s also boots, sneakers and ready-to-wear but I don’t have images of those yet. The range departs on July 13th so cop it quick before its gone!

I’ve checked out the collection at the Murakami Exhibition and I have to admit it looks better in person! I personally luv the luggage pieces, Speedy 35, Treillis and Stole! Can you guess which celebrity rocked a Monogramouflage piece first? Peep the answer below…

Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Flip Book - July 1

chloesevignyflipbook1.jpg

Last month news spreaded that Chloë Sevigny will be releasing a flip book with Opening Ceremony with a limited run of 2000 copies. Chloë directed the art for the whole book, the pictures were shot by photographer Mark Borthwick and illustrations includes her friends Benjamin Cho, Rita Ackerman, and Dan Colen. You can have fun mixing and matching outfits and bodies with endless combinations, quite a fun book it seems. The book retails at $65 and releases on July 1st, but you can pre-order it now on Amazon.com. Images via The Pipeline

Product Description
Now anybody can raid Chloe Sevigny’s wardrobe! Re-inventing the looks of 1989 for 2008, Sevigny has designed her first collection for the discerning New York/Los Angeles boutique Opening Ceremony. It’s a concise and carefully assembled collection, comprised of 40 pieces, and this volume presents each of them as photographed by Mark Borthwick, who first shot Sevigny for Purple magazine 10 years ago. The collection was inspired by the teen fashions of the late 80s and early 90s in Connecticut and New York, where Sevigny grew up, and further inflected by the looks of “women who are outrageous yet effortless–Liz Goldwyn, Cecilia Dean, Angelica Houston, Marlene Dietrich, Debbie Harry, Poison Ivy, Slim Keith, Patti Smith.” In Sevigny’s vision, calico and Liberty prints might be matched with gingham check trousers–each piece evokes a look but can be combined to many ends. In this mix-and-match volume, in which each page is split into two separately flippable sections, Sevigny models each ensemble with a minimum of fuss, allowing the clothes to speak for themselves. Borthwick’s ethereal photographs are complemented with drawings by Marika Thunder, Rita Ackerman, Lizzie Bougatsos, Benjamin Cho, Dan Colen, Matt Damhave, Amy Gartrel, Lily Ludlow and Spencer Sweeney.

Wanted

wanted_7_800.jpg

Got a bit tied up and forgot to write my review thoughts on the movie WANTED, went to watch the screening on Wednesday, June 18th, ten days before the official release courtesy of my buddy Mark Kwan. I had no clue what the movie was about when Mark told me about the screening but I wanted to watch it regardless because Angelina Jolie is in it. I wasn’t expecting much but the movie seriously blew me away, it was both humorous and filled with good action scenes. Even if you’re not into movies like these, you should still to go watch Angelina (aka Fox) - she is super hot and sexy!!! Don’t we all luv her?!

This movie is more than just a secret society of assassins who go by the name of The Fraternity, they seem to have some supernatural powers especially the main character James McAvoy (Wesley Gibson) some scenes are quite surreal. I’m not going to spoil it but the movie is really really good, I’ll definitely watch it again! Just curious is anyone interested in watching the movie before it hits theaters? Let me know…

The movie plays in theaters on Friday, June 27th…”What the fxxk have you been doing lately?”
