Jeremy Scott had models walking down his spring 2010 runway show in a Flintstones-inspired collection (which I loved) and as usual he keeps to his theme when designing the iconic Pliage Bag for Longchamp. The “Bone” Pliage Bag is the ninth in the series of bags he has designed for the brand and is currently available at Longchamp stores and at Colette and retail at about US$224. I own two, the Poodle and Gold Credit Card, I might need to add this to my collection- SUPER CUTE! More pics after the jump…
Earlier this month we posted the first look at the COMME des GARCONS x The Beatles bag, now we’ve go the collection preview of handbags, T-shirts and button down shirts. The apples and polka dots collection designed by Rei Kawakubo and inspired by The Beatles consists of 10 styles of travel bags along with four shirts and five T-shirts priced from around $115 to $860. The collection will be launching at Dover Street Market on November 27th. More pics after the jump…
The newly revamped H&M flagship store at 51st Street and 5th Avenue in NYC was transformed into a party scene for the launch of the highly anticipated Jimmy Choo for H&M collection. This past Friday, November 13th, we were invited to the VIP shopping party to get first dibs on the limited edition collection which launched in stores on Saturday, November 14th. The new space is amazing, super glam and fabulous, nearly 500 people were invited to the party and shopped till they dropped including Christian Siriano and Michelle Tractenberg. The shoe section was barricaded off and women were let in slowly (good idea), it was a frenzy in there. Spotted Michelle Tractenberg with her friends in the shoe section with two large shopping bags and deciding on what to get next. Women were trying on piles and piles of shoes, shoes were everywhere luckily the sales worked quickly to rearrange stuff and restocked. The first things to go were the Thigh High Boots and Studded Belts, those are my two favorite pieces from the collection. It was an amazing party and the best thing is that we got to shop early, no fuss except for the sold out stuff but picked up a couple of pieces! Happy! Did you get a piece of the collection? Need I say more? The highly anticipated Jimmy Choo for H&M collection for men and women finally hits stores tomorrow, November 14th! H&M has also transformed their window displays for the launch of the collection, we stopped by the Sunset Blvd. store for a peek. Are you ready? Be sure to check the “How to Shop” guide and store listings on their site, be prepared! While I was out in LA, I stopped by the H&M West Coast showroom to check out the collection in flesh and tried on a few pieces. The quality of the collection is great, everything looks more expensive than what it costs and I’ve already got my list prepared. The first thing I tried on was the leather thigh high boots ($299) which is absolutely amazing, super soft stretchy leather and the heel height is about 3″ so it’s pretty comfy. These boots even work for shorties like me, they look like leather pants on but they looked amazing on Pansy, she’s tall and lean with long legs. I’m digging all the jewelry, especially the leather studded belt ($59.95), definitely a must have (Rihanna requested that piece too). The other pair of shoes I’m obsessed with is the Snake boots with studs and crystals ($149), they’re so dope! There’s a lot more but see the pics for yourself to decide what you like, also check out what Pansy would go for on FabTV below. Big thanks to Pansy Tolou (H&M) for showing me around! For holiday 2009, Old Navy gets sparkly and shiny with bejeweled cardigans, sequin tanks, sparkle tees, shimmery tops and metallic belts. And to keep warm there’s knit booties, sweater slippers, mittens, cable knit hooded sweaters and frost-free nylon vests. I’m thinking about picking up the vest when it releases, looks cute.
