H&M Divided Autumn & Holiday 2008 Collection Preview

Last week I had the privilege of visiting the H&M showroom to check out their latest collections including the Comme des Garcons for H&M line- all I have to say is wait till you see it in person! You all should know I’m a huge fan of H&M, so going up there and seeing a room full of H&M products made me feel like a kid in a candy store. I wanted almost everything, it was crazy- their stockroom was full of samples too! The H&M Divided Red and Black label offers fashion with a young look. Products will be available in stores starting October, look out for them! As usual they never fail to deliver, here’s a lil teaser. Stay tuned for more previews to come! Thanks Jennifer and Tony!

COMME des GARCONS for H&M Collection Preview

hm-cdg-03.jpg

On Monday you’ve got a first look at the COMME des GARCONS for H&M collaboration via W’s September issue. Now Fashionista has more images leaked on the web. The collection consists of both women’s and men’s and is clearly very Japanese and stays true to Rei Kawakubo’s avant-garde style. Come November, I’m sure all Rei Kawakubo/COMME des GARCONS fans will invade H&M. Japan is lucky to get the collection before the rest of the world to commemorate the opening of H&M Japan. I’m hoping I will be able get a piece or two- lots of polka dots, the black lolita goth dress is quite interesting, the details are amazing and jackets are all great. They even made the female models look like Rei Kawakubo, how cute- I love it! What are your thoughts? Is it for your or is it too avant-garde?

Picked up a couple of pieces that were featured in the Fall/Winter ad campaign and some Prada-esque lace tops! I can’t wait till its cold enough to rock my coats, time to pack up my summer gear! I made out pretty well, I might go shop for more later today ;) !

First Look: COMME des GARCONS for H&M

W Magazine has the first look at the COMME des GARCONS for H&M collaboration slated to release in November, when I initially saw bad images circulating around the web I wasn’t too impressed. But after seeing this preview it has gotten me back into it, the range consists of:

Mostly black and with Japanese tomboy airs, the H&M collection includes a range of tailored jackets, many deconstructed, along with cropped pants, baggy shorts and a variety of skirts in stretch wool. On the perkier side are polkadot knits in jersey or merino wool, colorful shirts—some with dots—and a “showpiece” coatdress decorated here and there with dense Victorian ruffles. There are also accessories and a unisex perfume with notes of cedar and patchouli but, alas, no children’s wear.

Are you excited yet?
