After a meeting at 34th Street last Thursday I couldn’t resist and went H&M shopping, it was actually my first time shopping at the 34th Street (Herald Square) location since it fully renovated. The store looks great and a better use of space after the face lift, on the 2nd floor they have a whole section for shoes which is great b/c its organized and easy to see all the styles. I also love the 3rd floor kid’s section, H&M licensed Hello Kitty and produced a bunch of cute cute cute H&M x Hello Kitty products. I don’t have kids yet but I do have friend’s that have lil ones, bought my girl Anna’s baby Sophia a bunch of stuff! I’m kinda obsessed about the kid’s section, let’s my inner child out haha! Lots of women’s Autumn/Winter stuff that I previously posted are out- I’m still waiting on the shoes though, haven’t seen any of them that I’ve shot yet. Keep an eye out for me will ya?!

The COMME des GARCONS for H&M collection is coming upon us, to commence the opening of H&M’s second store in Tokyo, Japan the collection will be released there in the beginning of November first then on November 13th the rest of H&M markets will get it. The preview of the collection looks very promising and it looks even better in person, I previewed the collection at the H&M showroom last month! Are you ready to shell out $349 for a COMME des GARCONS for H&M Dress? Well, it’s a steal compared to what COMME des GARCONS prices go for- I believe this is a limited piece, it looks really good. The details are nice too, besides being a dress I can suggest it to be worn as a jacket too. I can’t wait, let the countdown begin!

After my meeting in SoHo I went straight to H&M to check out what near products were available. Fall is here and lots of sweaters and jackets are in stores now! So exciting, I picked up a few pieces- I hardly leave empty handed. Didn’t have much time roam the whole store since I had another meeting I had to catch but here’s my buys and picks below.

The much anticipated H&M Japan has finally opened its doors at Ginza this past Saturday, September 13th at 11am. The very first H&M store in Japan was welcomed by 5000 people who was eager to get a dose of the fast fashion chain. “An reception party held on September 11^th, gathered prominent figures of the fashion press, creators, celebrities, gathered together to celebrate the launch of H&M in Japan.”

“It has been H&M’s dream to open in Japan. I am therefore very proud to say that we now have our first store in Tokyo. Japan is a strategic and exciting market with great fashion awareness. We hope that we can offer our Tokyo customers added value through fashion and quality at the best price”, says Rolf Eriksen, CEO H&M.

“H&M GINZA have approximately 1000㎡ of sales area over four floors, from basement to 3rd floor, exhibiting Womens, Mens, and Accessories concepts. The interior, inspired by the store’s surrounding, reflect the elegance of Ginza. Each floor fully utilizes the walls, creating a spacious impression by contrasting lights and solidity.” Now the Japanese won’t need to fly to Hong Kong or New York to get their H&M fix! The world launch of the COMME des Garcons x H&M collection will be at the opening of H&M’s second store in Tokyo, Japan, in the beginning of November. Launch date for other H&M markets will be a few days later. I can’t wait till November!

H&M has just updated their site with more of their Autumn 2008 collection which is currently available at the stores. On the site you can watch the new autumn film, view campaign images and view the new autumn looks. When you click into “Autumn Looks” if the product is available in several colorways you can “try it on” the model and also enlarge the outfit to view the details, pretty dope. Have fun! Taking a lil break from New York Fashion Week, it’s quite exhausting but I’m still loving it! Yesterday, I had an hour to kill before the House of Cassette show at 7pm so I went into H&M to check out what’ new- came out with a bag of goodies. Perhaps some I may be wearing to Fashion Week, may be this denim high-waist skirt (above) with a simple top/tee. Lots of lace going on at H&M, the majority of stuff I bought yesterday were lace- crazy. Got some lace leggings, crop cardigans, top and a couple of skirts. If you haven’t checked- shop soon, a lot of new products dropped that I’ve never seen neither! Now back to NYFW!

Leather Dress (back)

Continuing on with my last H&M preview from the showroom visit, presenting their holiday/party collection- Divided Exclusive! This new collection is slated to release in November to December just in time for all the holiday parties and events you need to attend. I believe (if my memory didn’t fail me) that it’s not a permanent collection, after the holidays its over. The collection is HOT, I love everything- especially the leather dress with the big bow in the back (shown), it also comes in a satiny material as well. The collection is mainly in black which is the easiest to match. I seriously can not wait till these hit the stores, super cute! The Divided Exclusive collection has a special tag that’s hot pink, you can’t miss it- also features men’s and children, as usual something for the whole family. HOTNESS!
