Last week, MCM launched their new MCM New York Collection designed by Joy Gryson at Saks Fifth Avenue during NYFW which attracted a fashionable crowd. The event was hosted by Coco Rocha and DJ Harley Viera Newton provided the beats, I had a great time mingling with friends and also got to see the new bags up close, and of course tried on a few bags too. The collection is sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue and the MCM Plaza boutique in New York. The collaboration is ongoing, with plans for a holiday and spring 2010 line. Stopped by Santos for the GILT FUSE launch party on the 7th day of New York Fashion Week, the place is fun and I the neon walls there. GILT decked out the space with neon post-its attached with funny notes, love the black light with fluorescent tape all over the place! They even had Santa Claus and his helpers down there to grant “guilty” requests lol! More pics after the jump…
After the Rachel Zoe for QVC launch event, I went to the Alexander Wang after party at Mobil gas station (next to Milk Studios) with my friend Liz. The line to get inside the party was crazy, even for VIPs (well except if you’re a celebrity or model). The party was by far the best party I’ve been to during New York Fashion Week, and the most creative. Who would of ever thought of a party at Mobil gas station with an open drink bar (unlimited soda, Veuve Clicquot and liquor), candy bar (they even provide grocery bags for you to take home lol), magazine bar, great performances by Courtney Love and Santigold, celebs/models/designers walking around and lots of beautiful people to look at. After awhile of taking pictures, I just put my camera away to enjoy the party. Spotted Alexander Wang, Mischa Barton, Devon Aoki, Esteban Cortazar, Agyness Deyn and a bunch of other models. Finally catching up with New York Fashion Week event posts, it has been chaotic for reals. On September 12th, Rachel Zoe launched her QVC collection straight from the Bryant Park Tents and it was a star studded event. I stopped by for a bit and finally got a close look at Rachel Zoe, she’s so fab- loved her outfit especially the sequin blazer she wore! Other fab celebs that attended were Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford, Heather Graham, Shenae Grimes, Michael Urie and many more. Apparently the Rachel Zoe for QVC collection sold out within 25 minutes, too bad I was out because I did want the faux fur vest! The power of Rachel Zoe… More pics after the jump…
The last day of New York Fashion Week, I just went to one show, the last show at Bryant Park Tents- Tommy Hilfiger (missed the Tommy Hilfiger flagship store opening). I got to the show super late, lost my original seat but got a better one, second row in back of Anna Wintour and across from Carine Roitfeld! It was crazy, I didn’t bother taking pictures after a few snaps because it was so bright my photos got washed out my the lights and photographer’s flashes which happens quite often. Spotted Taylor Swift, Rosario Dawson, Penn Badgley, Mary-Louise Parker and Naomi Watts sitting front row. Phew, I survived NYFW, stay tuned for the recaps coming soon.
