Thanks to reader lucy92 for sending over the link. Stay tuned for the collection preview forthcoming…

Carlos Falchi for Target Faux Snakeskin Satchel

Last Friday, I received this amazing Carlos Falchi for Target Large Faux-Snakeskin Satchel in black, signed by Carlos Falchi himself. I was kinda skeptical about getting any of the faux-snakeskin bags when it releases on Sunday, November 1st, but after seeing and feeling the bag in person I was surprised how good it looked. The bag does not look cheap at all, looks quite real too. The bags feature Falchi’s iconic collage techniques and python-inspired solid prints finished with intricate stitch detailing. For $49.99 you can’t go wrong, def going to be shopping online this Sunday for the Cross-Body Collage Bag. Check out the full collection preview here. Do you like the bags?

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target Designer Collaborations
Photo by Giovanni Giannoni [Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2010]

Last month we reported that Jean Paul Gaultier was rumored to be up next to design a Target collection, today WWD confirms the designer will be the third in its series of Designer Collaborations following the successful release of Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui. According to WWD, Jean Paul Gaultier for Target pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture, the retailer said.

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target is slated to release on March 7, 2010 to April 11, 2010 in more than 250 stores nationwide and on target.com. Gaultier’s Designer Collaboration will have a tighter distribution than the last participant, Anna Sui, whose collection was sold in about 600 Target units.

Can’t wait to see what the designs look like, I still want those damn Dr. Martens!

Rodarte for Target [More Pics]

UPDATE 10.29.2009: AS PER TARGET’S REQUEST THE IMAGES HAS BEEN REMOVED, IF YOU’VE CAUGHT A SNEAK PEEK LUCKY YOU! STAY TUNED FOR THE IMAGES TO BE RELEASED OFFICIALLY!

These past couple of days, we’ve been getting teased with sneak peeks of the Rodarte for Target collection from leaks on the internet (here, here and here), today more images were spotted on The Pipeline which was spotted by reader lucy92. The images were leaked from the long lead press preview which was held back in August when the first TwitPics appeared. Now that we have bigger and more images to look at from the collection, how do you feel about it? Do you like the pantsless look and undergarments exposed? I’m not too sure how I feel right now, I’ll make my final judgment when the official look book images releases.

The Rodarte for Target Go International collection consists of 55 pieces and will range from $9.99 for knee-highs to $79.99 for a leopard print jacket. According to a Target spokesman, the collection is “very feminine, yet very modern and incorporates a rich mix of patterns and fabrications and everything from sequins and bows to faux fur”. Mark your calendars, the limited edition collection will launch at Target stores nationwide and on target.com on December 20, 2009, and will be available through February 6, 2009.
