This just in, Target has tapped Eugenia Kim and Cynthia Vincent to each launch a limited edition collection for spring 2010. The Eugenia Kim for Target collection is the first hat launch in a series of limited-time-only accessory designers at Target and is slated to hit Target and target.com from April 18 through June 20, 2010. The Cynthia Vincent for Target collection is the fifth footwear launch and will be available at Target stores nationwide and at Target.com from April 18 through July 1, 2010. Super excited about this! I like both designers, now we can all get our hands on affordable hats and shoes!
The Rodarte for Target collection is getting lots of love in magazines, luckily for that or we’ll still be waiting for the official look book images to release to get a peek. On Tuesday, we posted a preview from Elle and Harper’s Bazaar featuring a denim jacket, blue Swiss-dot lace dress, leopard bow belt, black cardigan and a printed dress. Thanks to reader lucy92 for tipping us, we now have more looks from the collection featured in Vogue’s December 2009 issue. These are the best images we’ve seen so far, besides the image of Dakota Fanning wearing the leopard dress. Hopefully there’s better pieces in the range, the collection launches on December 20th. More images of the highly anticipated Rodarte for Target collection surfaced on TFS which was scanned from Elle and Harper’s Bazaar’s December 2009 issues. Other than the pieces you’ve already seen here and there, the ’50s-inspired collection consists of pieces like party dresses, black lace leggings and bow belts. The first image of the denim jacket isn’t too special besides the braided detailing, not sure of the price yet. The second image of the blue Swiss-dot lace dress costs $40 and the leopard bow belt (which I like) costs $13. The last image consists of a cardigan for $29.99 which I like and underneath is a printed dress for $34.99. Thanks to reader lucy92 for the tip. What’s your thoughts so far? When can we finally see the full collection instead of bits and pieces? At the moment I have mixed feelings, but I’ll await for the full collection preview to make my final decision. Earlier this week, you’ve seen clearer images of the Rodarte for Target pieces featured in Marie Claire. Teen Vogue and Glamour magazines also featured one piece each, the Lace Halter Dress ($45) in their new issue with Dakota Fanning on the cover and the Nude Lace Dress ($40), respectively. Thanks to reader RudeGirl for the tip. Slowly we’re getting a preview of different pieces from the collaboration, I’m just waiting to view the entire collection any day now. December is just around the corner which means the Rodarte for Target collection is launching soon! Magazines are also starting to showcase the collection, slowly we’ll be able to view the entire collection. Marie Claire featured a few pieces of the collection, some of which we have already seen from sneak peeks but at least this time I wouldn’t be asked to remove them since they’re out in publications.
