Rodarte for Target Sequin Ribcage Mini Dress [Update]
Photography: Target

A new look book image for the Rodarte for Target Sequin Ribcage Mini Dress hit our inbox this morning from Target and we were requested to remove the old one. Perhaps they’ve been reading the comments from the previous post (lol)? This also confirms our question of if the dress belonged to the collection, indeed it does. The styling of the new look book image looks better, I liked how they styled the sleeveless sequin dress with a striped top underneath (cute and fun)- just like how they did at the press preview.

The Rodarte for Target Go International collection consists of 55 pieces and will range from $9.99 for knee-highs to $79.99 for a leopard print jacket. According to a Target spokesman, the collection is “very feminine, yet very modern and incorporates a rich mix of patterns and fabrications and everything from sequins and bows to faux fur”. Mark your calendars, the limited edition collection will launch at Target stores nationwide and on target.com on December 20, 2009, and will be available through February 6, 2009.

Rodarte for Target [Sneak Peek]

UPDATE 10.29.2009: AS PER TARGET’S REQUEST THE IMAGES HAS BEEN REMOVED, IF YOU’VE CAUGHT A SNEAK PEEK LUCKY YOU! STAY TUNED FOR THE IMAGES TO BE RELEASED OFFICIALLY!

Yesterday, we posted a picture of the Rodarte for Target Ribcage Sequin Mini Dress and was wondering if it was part of the collection. The answer is yes, thanks to reader Angela for tipping us that Seventeen has more preview pics from the long lead presentation on August 18th. As you can see the same ribcage sequin mini dress appears at the press preview, we can expect it in the line. The more images I see leaked on the web, the more I’m liking the collection. Love the leopard jacket and ribcage sequin mini dress so far! I can’t wait to see the full collection! Do you like?

UPDATE 10.15.2009: Per Target’s request, I have replaced the previous image with this new look book image. So if you’re new to this post, you’ll be confused of the comments lols. The new look book image (pictured) is def styled more like their usual collabs, excited!

Last month, a Rodarte for Target lace top was auctioned off on eBay by an editor that went to the preview, today reader lucy92 tips us off that an early image from what seems to be from the look book has appeared on A Tiny Machine, a Minneapolis-based blog (updated the post with a new look book image from Target). We’re both not too sure if it’s from the collection but according to the blogger, “this is an image of one of the Rodarte for Target dresses being released this December. It’s a black sequined mini-dress with ribcage detail on the front and a plain back.” Can anyone confirm? What’s your thoughts?

Coach Sues Target...Again
Coach Ergo Bags

WWD reports that Coach sues Target for the second time in three years for selling unauthorized reproductions of its handbags. Coach alleged Target for selling knockoffs of its Patchwork and Ergo designs. “Target is not authorized by Coach to manufacture, distribute, advertise, offer for sale, and/or sell merchandise bearing Ergo Designs or the Signature Patchwork Designs or designs confusingly similar there to,” the brand’s attorneys wrote. Have you seen similar designs at your local Target store? I don’t really shop Target stores (only online), would you buy a knockoff Coach bag at Target?
