Nine West Vintage America Fall 2009 Collection Preview

Back in December, Nine West announced their new collection for fall 2009 called Nine West Vintage America which is slated to launch for back to school. The collection of footwear, denim, handbags and accessories offers a “more rugged and casual aesthetic” look. The collection features a “vintage and worn-in feel” consisting of lots of suede, hardware details, straps, studs, lace-ups, soft materials, plaid, faux fur and shearling. I kinda need the over-the-knee leather boot, so cute!

Prices are between $59 and $169, and handbags will average about $145. Denim will sell for less than $70, and belts will cap at about $58. The collection will be available at Nine West stores and online, Macy’s and other department stores.

Portobello Market Online

Being that I don’t live in London nor have I been there, the grass is always greener on the other side. So glad that London’s famous Portobello Market has gone online, “pret a portobello is a brand new fashion market on the net, dedicated to selling fashion and accessories direct from the world famous Portobello Road and other London markets”. Isn’t it great that we don’t have to fly to London to get a taste of it (although I still would like go to someday)?

“You can shop by item, price range or designer and – in keeping with the real market experience – there is a dedicated trading section that lets you barter with stall owners, bid on one-off items and track down quirky pieces you might have missed.” Lots of great pieces from independent designers and quite reasonably priced, there’s also a great selection of vintage goods as well. There’s a great selection of Vintage Christian Dior Sunglasses, I’m debating on getting a pair. Check out the site!

Vintage Shop A Matic ~ Just Sit Back, Click & Buy

I love vintage goods but I’m never too lucky to find great vintage pieces, I also have no patience digging through piles of clothes and spending a whole lot of time in one store. Now that Shop-A-Matic launched their vintage shopping guide, let them “dig through the piles for you”. Just sit back, click and buy. I browsed through their 140 vintage finds and my favorites are the Camera Cuff Links $45, Red Star Necklace $195, Bakelite Bracelet and Bangle by Lanvin $235, Ruffle-Neck Top by Yves Saint Laurent $295, Mod Shift Dress $95, Hard-core Printed Shift by Stephen Sprouse $310, Wired Snake Sandals $410 and last but not least Kelly Bag by Hermès $4250! Lots of great stuff!
