Mulberry for Target Pink Leopard Print Bag

If you were one of the lucky Gilt shoppers that got to snatch up a Mulberry for Target bag before the official release date, lucky you! If not, no worries because you’ll have your chance on October 10th at Target stores and target.com. Reader lucy92 just sent over a new pic of a pink leopard print bag belonging to the collection shot from the new issue of Glamour Magazine, I can’t really tell what kind of material it is but looks kinda like PVC to me. I’m not sure how I feel about the bags until I see them in person, faux leather bags can be tricky. You can get a preview of the some of the bags from the collection here. Stay tuned for more pics forthcoming…

Chanel SoHo Story Collection

The reopening of the Chanel boutique in SoHo is on September 10th, just in time for Fashion’s Night Out, to celebrate the reopening, Chanel Global Creative Director of Makeup Peter Philips has created a limited edition collection that echoes the spirit of SoHo. “For me, SoHo is a place where Bohemian ideals meet the toughness of the city… I love the tension and energy this creates.” says Peter Philips.

The SoHo Story Collection is a study in extreme contrasts, partnering feminine pinks and roses with strong, industrial metallics. From pretty cheekbones to anthracite nails, tender creams and flashes of metal simultaneously reflect and contradict each other. “I had a specific girl in mind who is both hard and soft. A girl who discovers a new city, a new life.” adds Peter Philips. “This is a very special kind of New York woman. She is innocent, but she has a steely determination that fuels the city.” The collection’s SOHO DE CHANEL Exclusive Creation reflects a Pop Art influence. Stamped with the four letters of SoHo, this silky powder comes in a delicate palette of shades and, when dusted across the face, creates a subtle, natural glow.

The collection consists of SOHO DE CHANEL ($65), QUADRA EYE SHADOW in Stupendous ($56), ROUGE COCO in Stunning ($30), ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE in Stunt ($32), GLOSSIMER in Star ($27), LE VERNIS in Steel and Strong ($23 ea). Available on chanel.com on September 7th and September 10th at the SoHo Boutique.

Love it, I’m definitely going to check out the nail polishes at the SoHo boutique!

Keith Haring by Nicholas Kirkwood Collection

OMG, just spotted these super amazing Keith Haring by Nicholas Kirkwood shoes on Style File, so DOPE (*changed my word, people were seriously getting too worked up on ONE word*)! The collection consists of 12 footwear styles slated to release in February 2011. How sick are the designs? Love the first 4 pairs already, especially the peep-toe pumps with the baby heel!! Can’t wait to see the full collection, hopefully the prices will not be too extreme (who am I kidding?).

“I watched this documentary called The Universe of Keith Haring, and though I know his style, I hadn’t seen the breadth of his work. I couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing and prolific he was and how great it would be to incorporate his graphics into my designs,” Kirkwood explained. “So I ended up approaching the Keith Haring Foundation. I had to really sell them the product, but I think they’re pretty happy with the end result.”

On a side note, Nicholas Kirkwood will be launching a 8-day pop-up shop online featuring his collaborations for pre-sale with Rodarte, Erdem and Peter Pilotto will be available for pre-sale. Oh boy, gotta start saving up!

Just got news that FIJI Water will serve as the official water sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with a three-season agreement beginning this season, Spring 2011 to Spring 2012 at Lincoln Center. The talk of town or shall I saw blogosphere and Twitter is all about who the next H&M designer collaboration is! We all want to know who!! Previously there were speculations that it will be Shiatzy Chen, Tomas Maier, Caroline Herrera, DvF and even Vivienne Westwood, but looks like WWD is pretty certain that it will be one of the hottest labels in Europe — Lanvin! Yes, you didn’t read wrong! I got psyched when I read about it early this morning and even tweeted about it, seriously fingers crossed! And just so you know all the viral videos that H&M launched are hired actors with the voice digitally altered to keep everyone guessing. Many have pointed out that the quotes come from Lanvin’s creative director, Alber Elbaz, one of which is “Design is very important because it actually brings dream to our life.” We’ll just have stay tuned for the official announcement being made by H&M on September 9th! H&M seriously never disappoints!

Do you believe it’s Lanvin? Are you excited about the collab? I am ecstatic! Check out all the viral videos H&M put out so far after the jump…

iiJin Sneakers

When I was in Hong Kong in June/July I noticed a lot of girls wearing Converse-esque platform sneakers, they seem to be really popular there. I like them myself too, these are perfect because there’s a hidden platform that gives an extra boost and they’re really comfy because of the thick insole (platform). Last month, Hong Kong-based brand iiJin, contacted me and introduced its brand and sneakers to me. iiJin was created by a Korean designer who graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada and now resides in Hong Kong. The designer got the idea to make elevated sneakers because she never owned a pair of sneakers, she only wore high heels, and simply can not wear flats because it made her legs look short. iiJin means “Precious of Value” in Korean.

I received four pairs of sneakers of my choice to try, I chose the leopard print with sequins, black faux croc print, white faux croc and denim styles. The sneakers comes in two versions, 2 inch (1½ inch elevated insole) and 4 inch (1½ inch elevated insole + 2 inch platform), I went with the latter. The prices range from US$130 for the 2″ to $180 for the 4″. I can’t wait to see their new styles coming this holiday, they’re making an even higher version! For stockists, check after the jump.

I rocked the leopard print with sequins pair out this past Saturday and got a lot of compliments on it, even guys said they look cool. I love the lacing on this pair, it’s different from the other styles. Don’t think I’ve seen elevated sneakers available in NYC, love them! Thanks, iiJin!

Fall is looking pretty good for Forever 21’s Love 21 collection, love the sporty chic and casual looks. Sweatpants and maxi skirts worn with a simple white tee paired with some platforms is what I’m diggin’, simple and fresh.
